BRUCE Willis’s family facing tragic new health battle

Bruce Willis, the celebrated actor, has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. This diagnosis led him to step back from his acting career. The Willis family has been a pillar of support during his ongoing health challenges. Concerns for Daughter Tallulah Reports have emerged about the deteriorating mental health of Bruce’s daughter, Tallulah Willis. “Bruce could see her wasting away, and it only made his own problems worse,” stated a source. Tallulah has had her own health struggles, including a battle with anorexia and a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder.

Tallulah’s Own Revelations In a Vogue essay, Tallulah opened up about her mental health. “There’s an unhealthy deliciousness at the beginning of losing weight rapidly. People are like, ‘Oh wow!’ And then quickly it turns to, ‘Are you okay?’ My friends and family were terrified, and I dismissed it,” she wrote. Hope for Recovery The Willis family is facing multiple challenges, both with Bruce’s dementia and Tallulah’s mental health. Support and recovery for both are urgently needed in these trying times.

Bruce Willis’ life, Emma Heming, has made a personal confession about her struggles with her husband’s illness.

Willis was officially diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia at the beginning of 2023, nearly one year after announcing his retirement from acting due to aphasia, which causes difficulties with speech.

Since then, his family have continued to share updates on the movie star’s worsening condition on social media.

Her latest heartbreaking confession comes after the model admitted that she “struggles with guilt” while caring for Willis.

She told Sunday Paper: “I struggle with guilt, knowing that I have resources that others don’t.

“When I’m able to get out for a hike to clear my head, it’s not lost on me that not all care partners can do that.

“When what I share about our family’s journey gets press attention, I know that there are many thousands of untold, unheard stories, each of them deserving of compassion and concern.”

Heming – who has daughters Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine, with Willis – went on to share that she hopes to continue to “be an advocate” for those also living her experience.

She added: “I see that what I share matters to others who may be struggling, and in a small way makes them feel seen and understood.

“I want people to know that when I hear from another family affected by FTD, I hear our family’s same story of grief, loss, and immense sadness echoed in theirs…

“It’s important to me to be an advocate on behalf of those families, who don’t have the time, energy, or resources to advocate for themselves.”

Heming went on to add that she still has “hope” for Willis, despite his condition continuing to worsen.

She explained: “I have so much more hope today than I did after Bruce was first diagnosed.

“I understand this disease more now, and I’m now connected to an incredible community of support. I have hope in having found a new purpose — admittedly one I never would have gone looking for — using the spotlight to help and empower others.”

Willis became a household name in the 1980s and 90s after starring in Die Hard, The Sixth Sense, Armageddon and Pulp Fiction.

He has also been nominated for five Golden Globes – winning one for Moonlighting – and also three Emmys, where he won two.

What is frontotemporal dementia?

Frontotemporal dementia is caused by the loss of nerve cells in the brain’s frontal and temporal lobes.

As those areas shrink it can lead to changes in a person’s personality, behaviour and language.

FTD typically affects people between the ages of 45 and 65.

Symptoms include personality and behaviour changes and problems with language and mental focus.

Bruce Willis’s family facing tragic new health battle as daughter struggles

It’s been a tough few months for Bruce Willis and his loving family. Readers will likely be well aware that the A-lister has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a degenerative brain condition that has forced him to withdraw from the spotlight, possibly for good.

Indeed, much has been said about the love and support Bruce’s family have given him in his darkest hour, but new reports pain a worrying picture regarding the mental health of the star’s daughter, Tallulah.

According to Radar Online, the Willis clan are growing increasingly concerned about the mental health of Tallulah Willis as her father’s condition continues to worsen.

It was earlier this year that Bruce Willis’s family confirmed that the Die Hard actor had been diagnosed with a form of dementia. His daughter, Scout, wrote a particularly heartfelt message after the news became public, stating that she was a “bit overwhelmed”.

Last March, Willis announced his retirement from acting after he was formally diagnosed with aphasia. Among other things, the condition reportedly impaired his ability to communicate, making it increasingly difficult for him to work on set.

Fast forward to February of 2023, and his aforementioned diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia was made public. Needless to say, the weeks and months since then have been a battle for the Willis clan, and now new reports suggest they’re having to combat another type of trouble.

As per Radar Online, Bruce’s daughter, Tallulah, whom he shares with actress Demi Moore, admitted to suffering a bout of anorexia after she was dumped by her fiancè Dillon Buss not even three months after her father’s aphasia diagnosis.

Since then there’s not been much said for Tallulah’s condition, though it’s now being claimed that Bruce himself was aware of his daughter’s suffering.

“Bruce could see her wasting away and it only made his own problems worse,” said a source, as per Radar.

“Bruce was shattered when he saw Tallulah’s suffering,” the insider went on.

“It got to the point where the family thought it would be better if they weren’t around each other at all.”

Tallulah herself revealed that she had checked into an in-patient facility after her separation from Dillon. There, she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.

In a candid recent essay for Vogue, Tallulah opened up to the public on how her struggles with body dysmorphia began when she started taking medication for ADHD.

“I felt smart for the first time,” Tallulah said of taking her medication, “but I also started to enjoy the appetite-suppressant side effect of the meds. I saw a way to banish the awkward adolescent in favor of a flighty little pixie. And like so many people with eating disorders, my sense of myself went haywire.”

“There’s an unhealthy deliciousness at the beginning of losing weight rapidly. People are like, ‘Oh wow!’ And then quickly it turns to, ‘Are you okay?’ My friends and family were terrified, and I dismissed it.”

The 29-year-old added: “By the spring of 2022, I weighed about 84 lbs. I was always freezing. I was calling mobile IV teams to come to my house, and I couldn’t walk in my Los Angeles neighborhood because I was afraid of not having a place to sit down and catch my breath.”

Here’s to hoping Tallulah gets all the help she needs and can make a full recovery. We can only imagine the difficult position she’s in, what with her father’s own health issues to contend with as well.
