It’s always heartbreaking when we come across a stray dog who needs help, but what makes these situations even more devastating is when there’s horrible weather outside.
This can impair their ability to find food and shelter. Some dogs struggle to survive, and they have to endure the harsh elements because nobody wants to help them.
When this pregnant mama dog was wandering through the streets of Texas, she thought that she would never find someone who would be willing to help her.
However, her fortune would change when a kind person saw her on the street and decided to take her in.

After Aubrey saw this pregnant doggo freezing in the snow, she felt that she had to do something, so she took her into her house.
She decided to foster her for a while, at least until she and her puppies were ready to be placed on an adoption list.
It was absolutely freezing outside and the situation was not much better in Aubrey’s house. There was no electricity in the house, which made it harder to care for the dog.
She knew that the puppies would come soon, but she needed their mom to feel warm, safe, and comfortable before that happened.
She didn’t have much wood left for the fireplace and the house was freezing. The only option in that case was to move the mom to the bathroom where she would turn on hot water.
The steam coming off the shower would provide at least a little relief until she could come up with a better solution.
The dog’s labor was starting, so she needed to act fast. Her husband had a good idea. He turned on his car, got the heater running, and moved the mama dog into the car.
A Beautiful Dog Family
She finally gave birth in the car. Thankfully, everything went smoothly and all the puppies were doing okay.
A whole night went by and Aubrey did everything she could to care for them. However, even though everything went okay, they still needed a more permanent solution for them.
Aubrey thought it would be a good idea to take this new dog family to her parents, who live at least 45 minutes away in Texas.
So, without hesitation, she went to them and they were completely surprised to see those sweet puppies. They were willing to help in any way they could.
In the care of all those amazing people, the mama dog, now named Maggie, was doing a lot better. Even though she was exhausted from taking care of the puppies every day, she was happy.
She had people who cared for her and that was all that mattered to her. The puppies were growing up fast. They opened their eyes soon enough and their whole world changed.
When the time comes, Aubrey hopes that the family can find a forever home pretty fast.
While we don’t have information on how the story continues for these dogs, I would like to believe that they are now going on adventures and living their best life with someone special.
