A woman teaches her husband a harsh lesson after he abandons her and has a romantic affair with a much younger woman.
“Divorce? Juan, tell me you’re not serious!” Natalia exploded when her husband announced he was tired of his monotonous life and wanted to start living as a free man.
Juan smiled. “Please, Natalia! We both know there’s nothing left between us. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to be free and meet someone, a beautiful and attractive woman… who isn’t always in a bad mood like you! So, yes, I want a divorce.”

“And you think I’ll let you go that easily? Not a chance, Juan!” Natalia threatened. “You want to live like a free man, don’t you? Well, guess what? I’m not signing the divorce papers, and you won’t get a thing, not even a share!”
“You can’t do that, Natalia! If you don’t sign the papers of your own free will, I’ll force you one way or another!”
The woman laughed. “Good heavens, Juan! And what are you going to do? Bring a mistress home? Do you think that will affect me? I’ve known about all your affairs for years! But after 47 years together, I’m not about to give you a divorce. Never!”
“Well.” Juan paused, looking at his wristwatch. “I have no other choice. I’m leaving for Mexico in an hour, and I’ll be gone for six months. I withdrew almost all the savings we had in our joint account.”
“Let’s see if you agree to a voluntary divorce and we can divide our assets, or if you’ll find a way to support yourself. You’ve always been a housewife, so I don’t know how you’ll manage without money,” he said, mocking her. “I can’t wait to be in Mexico!”
“What? How could you do something like that? Those are my savings too, Juan! How dare you take them out without discussing it with me?”
“I knew you’d make a fuss about the divorce. I know you too well, so I planned everything carefully,” the man admitted without remorse.
With that, Juan left the room, packed his things, and departed, but not before leaving the divorce papers on the table. “If you want to avoid future financial problems, I suggest you sign immediately. Otherwise, your life could become a living hell!” he added before leaving.

Natalia burst into tears when she saw Juan walk away. He hadn’t been the best partner, and she had recently discovered he was having affairs with much younger women. But she didn’t want a divorce.
After her children moved out, she only had Juan left. So, when she discovered his infidelities, she decided to keep quiet. She trusted that things would eventually get better.
That never happened, and now Juan had told her he wanted a divorce and had kept her savings. But she was determined not to let him get away with it. Not this time.
Three months later…
Natalia was sitting in the living room drinking raspberry tea when she heard the doorbell ring. She gasped when she saw her husband, Juan, standing there.
“What are you doing here? I thought you were enjoying life in Mexico!” he said maliciously.
“Oh, Natalia! I’m sorry, I’m so sorry for what I did!” he begged, getting down on his knees. “Please forgive me! Leaving you was a mistake. I shouldn’t have done that.”
Natalia was in shock. “Juan, what’s wrong? It’s okay, calm down. Let’s go inside and talk, okay?”

“Where do I begin? I met this young woman, Marlene,” Juan began to tell her once they were inside. “We spent two months in Mexico together… But she was a con artist! She robbed me! She took all my money,” he said.
“We lived in her modest apartment in Mexico. I did everything for her, including cooking, cleaning, and even taking care of her two children. I was convinced that she loved me…,” he said, his voice breaking.
“We were never intimate, and that only made me love her more. I believed her when she said she wanted to wait until we were married so that everything would be perfect, but it was all a lie… she just wanted the money!”
“Oh my God!” Natalia said. “That’s terrible. You know what…?” she had started to say when the doorbell rang.
“Just a moment, Juan. Let me see who it is,” she said as she walked toward the door.
“Who is it, Natalia?” Juan asked, as he approached the door. “What are you doing here?” he exclaimed in surprise when he saw Marlene on his porch. “Natalia! She’s the woman who scammed me! The one who stole all my money!”
The two women exchanged glances and burst out laughing.

“I know, Juan! Meet Marly, or as you said, Marlene. She is my friend’s daughter, and she helped me gather evidence against my unfaithful husband.”
“I tracked down your hotel in Mexico and called Marlene for help. It was all a trap, darling, and I’m glad you fell for it!”
“What?” Juan exploded. “Did you do all this on purpose?! You’re going to regret this, Natalia!”
“No, Juan,” Natalia replied. “This time you lost. Take your luggage and get out of my house immediately! And yes, I am divorcing you! And I will make sure you don’t receive a single penny! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW!”
Juan grabbed his luggage and left the house, completely bewildered. Natalia thanked Marly for her help, and together they celebrated how well their plan had worked.
When, months later, they finally finalized the divorce, they had both reflected on what had happened and were able to make amicable agreements that would not harm either of them.
