The singer Gloria Trevi expressed her dismay at the murder of Jesús Alejandro Cerda, a young man who sold barbecue in Monterrey, and who was a faithful follower of the singer. Cerda disappeared while on his way to his business on March 19, after being kidnapped at a gas station. He was found dead inside a boat in the Paseo de San Bernabé neighborhood.
Gloria Trevi, who had maintained a close relationship with Cerda, used her social networks to mourn his death and send her condolences to the family. “Alejandro… to his family and friends, I am very sorry for his absence and the pain of those who loved him and will continue to love him… I don’t know what to do to give a little comfort,” Trevi wrote in an Instagram post.

The discovery of the body inside a black bag inside a boat was reported the same day as Cerda’s disappearance. Different security corporations arrived at the scene to carry out the corresponding investigations. Identification of the body was carried out through a DNA test.
Representatives of the 4th Apostolic Church of Faith in Christ Jesus of Monterrey, a congregation to which Cerda belonged, mourned the death and sent their condolences to the family, in addition to inviting parishioners to consolation services. “We unite in the pain that overwhelms the Cerda Morales family, due to the death of Jesús Alejandro Cerda Morales. We ask the entire congregation to join in prayer for prompt resignation and that the comfort and strength that only our Lord gives us be for the entire family,” reads the official website of the congregation.
